Support groups for warriors and spouses
Heartbeat offers two unique support groups for our military heroes. Each group provides much-needed support for two of the most difficult jobs in the service — combat health care provider and wounded warrior spouse. It’s time to let the healing begin for those who heal our many wounded warriors.
Warrior Caregivers United is a specialized group for combat health care providers: medics, doctors, trauma nurses, Navy corpsmen, and chaplains. The group addresses compassion fatigue — the extreme emotional impact on those who provide health care on the battlefield. The confidential group is both uplifting and healing.
Wounded Warriors Spouse Support is a group for male and female spouses of wounded warriors. It’s an opportunity for Heartbeat and donors to provide an encouraging and fun group for these caretakers. These unsung heroes deserve a place to heal.
